BAND: The Anvil Brothers, formed in the Winter of 2012, are a contemporary acoustic band from central Virginia with bluegrass instrumentation but definitely not your grandfather's bluegrass (from Jimmie Rodgers to Jimi Hendrix) and everything in-between. Live shows consist of about 50% original songs and 50% cover tunes on which they have put their own stamp. The Anvil Brothers released their first CD, "Little Stories", in 2018. Today's group consists of Jim Mohr (mandolin, guitar, violin), Doug Hepler (guitar), Donnie Durham (banjo, dobro), Aaron Jonas (bass) and Dan Gillespie (accordion, keyboards and harmonica).
